Where is bath on the map?
Wednesday. Normal school day. At work as usual. Doing nothing as usual. Bath says AJ. What? says Fran. I want to go to bath. Ok. 15 minutes later, 3 tickets are booked for saturday. I wasn't doing anything on saturday. I'd never been to Bath either. So i thought i'd just hop along.
Had to catch the 10am bus from Victoria. Having been out with the girls the night before, i was completely hungover. Didn't know how i was going to survive the 3 hour bus ride without being sick. I survived.
Got to Bath at about 2. The city reminded me of the time we went to cambridge on a school trip. It was very similar. Luckily, the day was clear and it wasn't too cold. Got to see the roman baths and pump room, and even tasted the water. It was warm and very minerally. Not nice. But the baths were amazing. Such a beautiful little city. Walked around for hours. Found a little shop that sells all kinds of spirits and whiskey and vinegar. And so much more. Awesome little shop.
Had to leave by 7. Managed to see the city at night as the sun went down. Didn't want to leave. Will definitely be going back.
