Finally in the land of the Danes.

I was unexpectedly in Copenhagen (a mix of Amsterdam and Budapest) a week after I came back from a two week trip to Europe. As I was waiting in the Warsaw Airport, I received a call from Denmark informing me I was shortlisted for a position I applied to. So it was back to Europe where it was cold. To top it off, I was leaving perfect warm weather in NYC!

Finally in the land of the Danes.

Trains to Copenhagen.
So I arrived early in the morning, 07:15, groggy, sick and cold, not a good way to start the day! Navagating the trains was easy and the ride was only 15 minutes long. I arrived at the central train station and made my way to the Grand Hotel Copenhagen. Luckly, Archie (a fellow TravBuddy) offered to make reservations and give me a steep discount at the hotel he works at. Did I mention he also upgraded me to a superior room? I actually met him later that evening as he was starting his shift. Thanks Archie for making my stay pleasant!

After a long, hot shower, it was off to bed as I was dead tired and trying to fight off that cold. I did not realize it, but I slept from 09:00 to 16:00. I woke up when the front desk called to say that I had been upgraded to another room. So I moved rooms and decided to see a little bit of Copenhagen. The first stop was Le Le Restaurant by the hotel. Lots of food and drinks were ordered and when the bill came, it was a whopping $70.00. Copenhagen is an expensive city!
