After Batangas trip, we went straight to Museong Pambata in Manila. Having to grow up in Doha, Qatar, we wanted my nieces to enjoy their stay in Manila - experience how it was when we (siblings) were growing up. We brought them to Museong Pambata in Manila, we know at their age, they cannot fully appreciate museums. It is a good thing this place expose them to normalcy of Filipino life - replicas of public market, ifugao houses, barber shops, bahay kubo (nipa houses). This museum tackles about the environment, awareness to one's body (anatomy made easy). They are have some sci fi settings, on another room is about sports. This is my eldest nice enjoyed so much.
The Museo Pambata is a children's interactive museum, the first of its kind in the Philippines. It designed to be an alternative to the formal classroom environment where learning resembles a one-way street - the teacher imparts knowledge and the students absorb it. In Museo Pambata, children can use their total senses and learn various concepts at their own pace. It excites the minds of the young, inspires them to learn more, and most importantly revitalizes what child learning should be. Well, it excites even the minds of those who belong to age brackets that can't be consider kids. :)
Btw, this Museum is situated next to US Embassy in Manila. One cannot take picture pointing to the embassy. Weird...
