Viareggio Seaside town/ Livorno Port town
October 4, 2007
Viareggio is a charming seaside town we decided to visit (we like the name), a little above Pisa/Livorno. We got there and grabbed some wine for lunch. Walked on the beach...it was so amazing to be on a beach and to see mountains in the background. Great shops, pretty hotels. if you're from NJ, it is an upscale wildwood....Next trip, I am driving from top to bottom of Italy and hitting all the coastal towns. They are so pretty! Livorno is a more metropolitan town, great shops...I believe it is a port of call for cruise ships. Crazy crazy driving!! Try making a left hand turn there during rush hour...good luck!
