Too long in paradise

We spent the last two night at an island of the Pacific coast which is close to David.  To get there you have to take the bus, then a cab for an hour and then it is a boat ride to the island.  THis seems to be the theme for traveling in Panama.  It´s kind of hard to get around but everyone is very friendly here and tries to help us out. The place  on this island, Isla Boca Brava is run by a German architect who built and designed the place.  I think that he has completely lost his mind!  The place itself is quite amazing.  He has had to build it three times.  First the termites ate it, then he was not there when they poured the concrete and the workers did not put in the rebar so it colapsed, this time it´s made of concrete and steel and has apparently withstood a couple of big earthquakes.  

There was a small earthquake a couple of nights ago.  It really shook the hotel that we were in.

We are back in David to go to a baseball game tonight with a Panamaniam friend. Should be fun.
