Hi all and welcome to our travel blog. I hope it was not too much of a pain to sign in! Rick and I are leaving for South Africa June 13 from Vancouver and we will be on a Safari for the following 2 months. But first we are headed to Regina. This website has really cool maps and we can upload pictures (if we can find a computer). Hope you all found this okay.

Hi everyone,

Sorry for the lack of updates. THe internet in Africa seems to be painfully slow. The tour that we are on keeps us on a tight schedule and we have had little time for the internet. We have completed the first leg of the tour (6 weeks), we are now heading into uganda to see the gorilla's.

We have also booked a flight today into Sri Lanka on Aug 20. We needs some R &R after this trip. We have been on the truck day after day. We are excited to get to the beach!

We have seen and done tones in Africa and we have some great pictures to post as soon as we can find an internet that can handle uploading them. We were in the Serengeti and the carter a couple of days ago. It was totally amazing! A lion walked over and lay down in the shade of our truck! and then his buddy walked over and lay down beside him! We also saw 2 leopards and tones of other animals. Hope everyone is having a good summer. I think that it is hotter in Kamloops than it is here! Bye for now. Rick and Val
