Hi all and welcome to our travel blog. I hope it was not too much of a pain to sign in! Rick and I are leaving for South Africa June 13 from Vancouver and we will be on a Safari for the following 2 months. But first we are headed to Regina. This website has really cool maps and we can upload pictures (if we can find a computer). Hope you all found this okay.

First Day on Safari

We left Capetown this moring en route to Citrusdal.  There is a big mix of ages and nationalities on our tour much to our relief.  We were a little worried after seeing some of the other party busses of 18 year olds!  We have 21 people on the tour and 31 seat in the bus so it's not that crowded but apparently other will be joining along the way.

We had a short drive today to our first campsite.  We set up camp and then wandered through the orange orchard.  We got the lowdown on the tour.  There won;t be any animals for a while.
