The air in the mountains is very fresh and clean. We went for a drive to Azumino, Nagano-ken to refresh ourselves.

I like Azumino!

Soba is a typical kind of Japanese noodles. My friend from Azumino recommended a soba shop to us in her hometown. We serched for the shop at the foot of a mountain. It was a really good soba!

I could see the Japan Alps from Chihiro Art Museum Azumino. Chihiro Iwasaki was a famous picture-book writer in Japan. I used to read her picture-book when I was a child. The quiet buildings really relaxed us.

Wasabi, Japanese horseradish, is served with Sushi or Sashimi.  Fresh leaves of Wasabi can be eaten. I hear Daio Wasabi Farm is the largest wasabi farm in Japan. A lot of tourists visited and enjoyed this farm and the clear water of the river.
