Boston in 2 days
My flight got in to Logan's Airport around midnight. My friend flew from D.C. and got there around the same time. We took a cab to the South End(Prudential Center) and it took us about 20 min and we paid $30. By the time we all got there and got ready it was about 1:00 or 2:00am. We went out trying to find a nearby place but all places were closed. We asked some cab drivers and said it was too late to go to the area where the clubs are(i forgot he name). We decided to stay in the room that night. Saturday morning we started our city tour around 11:00 am with a quick breakfast of coffee and a bagel. We were staying by the prudential center(green line) and took the T to park Street. Here we started the "Freedom Trail". This is a 2.
5 mile walk along Boston's historic sites marked with red paint or brick. We lost the red line a few times b/c we got distracted with the stores or taking pictures! This was a HOT day!! around 90 F. I was expecting tohave a little fall weather. By the time we reached the North End we tried to look for the waterfront and we found a waterfront but not the one in the pictures!!! we kept walking and we got to a T station and decided to get back to the hotel. After 4 hrs of walking, we took a shower and we went to Cambridge. We went to Harvard University and Harvard Square. We also found MANY souvenir shops and we got our harvard t-shirts. There were several stores and boutiques around the area. We tried to found a pub or any type of bar around but there wasnt any!!! not even many restaurants. we ended up @ Pizza Uno. This wasnt so bad. They have a full bar and it wasnt crowded. We wondered how the college kids here have some fun!! NO nightlife in Boston after 1:30am, no bars in Cambridge... it didnt matter to me. I loved the boho feeling of the city. Saturday night we went to the Prudential Center's Skywalk Bar. This restaurant/lounge is located on the 52th floor of the building and it has amazing views of the city. We had one drink and left. This night we had a party @ the Convention Center. We stayed there until 1:00 am and again we did not find anyplace to go. We asked the concierge at the hotel and some taxi drivers. The basically sent us back to the hotel b/c everything was closing soon! :(Sunday we had brunch on Boyldton St.
then walked by Newburry Street and from there walked to the Public Garden and by Copley Square. Newburry was great! I didnt have time to shop but it would have been a great place! The Public Garden was beautiful. I loved the weird looking trees and all the ducks walking everywhere. We took many pictures and went back to the hotel to get ready for our flight. This was a short trip but we covered a lot!!!! I was exhausted from all the walking!! I will definitely go back to Boston. I will try to do it during the whale watching season and actually find the waterfront! Also I didnt get to walk around Beacon Hill. The JFK Library sounds like a good thing to see and I would like to go to Salem, MA.

Besides service, the location was excellent. Right next to a T station and right across from Prudential Center. Also, Newburry Street is only a few blocks away as well as the Public Garden and Copley Square.
