Hitting the slickrock at Bartlett Wash
Running low on energy, we decided to go over to Bartlett Wash, a slickrock playground with some really interesting topographic features. Once we climbed up to the top of the wash, we experimented with different lines that brought us in and out of huge rounded troughs eroded in the sandstone ledges, dropped 1 or 2-foot ledges, and descended some super steep rounded chutes. There's no real trail here, you just ride where you like and experiment, plus the views were once again outstanding - check out the pics to get a feel for this place.

Today's ride marked the end of our trip here. We end it with mixed feelings: on the one hand we had so much fun doing some truly epic rides, and on the other hand we are dead tired and miss our friends and families. I think it's safe to say that we all got what we came for, and more, and will look back on this trip with some truly great memories.
A lone rider seems lost in this vast landscape
It was busy and it was hard work, but in the end really satisfying. Now we'll return home, where we all would need another vacation just to recuperate before returning to our real world responsibilities.

I'll probably make one more blog entry summarizing the trip statistics and the journey home.

Thanks for following along, I hope it's been able to let you share a bit of what it's like to be here and do what we do as mountain bikers.

Sorry for the short entry today, but we've been busy packing up our bikes and gear after the ride and we're going to crash as soon as the Sox game is over.

Daily Stats:
