To Bethy's, in time for a dinner out

I woke up the morning of travel feeling incredibly tired and pretty sick; honestly, I wanted to call the trip off and crawl back into bed! I had meant to get everything ready the night before; clean the house, pack my things... but even then I felt so horrible that I decided to crash and do it the next morning - but since I felt no better (actually worse) that didn't really happen. I ended up leaving a messy house and barely getting things into a suitcase. Not the way I like to start a trip, but what are you going to do?
I had a non stop flight and it was an easy trip. When I wasn't sleeping I was reading my current "Jack Reacher" novel and enjoying it a lot. Finally, the plane landed in New York, JFK airport.
I found the airtram easily; it stops across the street from each terminal. I was a bit unsure at first of which one to get on, but one helpful traveler later I was on the correct tram and heading to Jamacia Station. From there it was the "A" train to Jay Street, then the "F" train to 15th Street / Prospect Park. Once I did the final suitcase lug up the stairs of that station to the street, I called Bethy to see where exactly to go next. I followed her advice and soon saw Chris headed down the street to greet me and relieve me of my suitcase (such a gentleman!) and together we walked the last block.
Bethy had gotten ill before I arrived, and she was only able to stay awake long enough to greet me and hobble back to bed. I felt really bad for her. Chris and I ordered some pizza chatted for quite a while to catch up, and finally it was time to sleep - I was so tired...
