At the 4th Troop Rifle range. As you can see my 2nd career will be a CIA Operative

We made it to Cambodia! The people in Siem Reap are poor. The roads here
sucks, tons of pot holes. The local are clueless about asking directions
regarding addresses. They prefer to accept dollars rather can rhiels.

Our airport taxi cab driver recommended us to this local hotel - King
Angkor Hotel. OK, it actually was better than my Bangkok accomodations
bec this has a view and a veranda. They have a rule that you have to
take off your shoes when you enter the hotel. Dang it, I should have
brought my slippers with me. I hate it having dirty/dusty feet. The
hotel has a western toilet. I think if they had a swat toilet, we would have gone to
somewhere else.

We are on a mission to find the best package deal to a two day tour of
Angkor Wat (http://www. We ate at a local french restaurant owned by a expat and it was delicious. I ordered fish with ginger sauce and my friend Arty got a
big salad (she can't eat meat only seafood).

Today, Monday, Arty and I will probably go to the shooting range. To
have target practice using AK-47s. Yes, just like the movies. They will
even lend you Army fatigue during the session. Gotta find out how much
it cost. Look OUT, Arty and I are the next 'Thelma & Louise.'

In Bangkok, I finally was able to shop at the famous Weekend Thai Market
with 2/3 acres of shopping stalls. Wow, what a bargain. You gotta
haggle. If I only have a bigger apartment, I'll have it decorated with
all the stuff that I can buy!

Best thing about this trip, going for a massage everyday. Don't know how
much it cost here in Angkor. We will find out soon enough.

best, Arlene

Cambodia's first playground
* Phnom Penh’s only public children’s playground has been a runaway success since it opened in October 2008.
