An ordinary place...

Zurich is pretty average.  Like your normal American city...except that everything is REALLY EXPENSIVE!!!  Swiss Francs are similar to the dollar, but everyone is rich around it's impossible to find something cheap.  Cheap has now turned into 7 franc pastas and 8 franc bus tickets.  But this city is a change for longer are there the African street vendors selling the fake Gucci, Prada, and D&G.  This is not a tourist city...nearly everyone I've encountered has spoken fluent German, and nothing better than broken English.  We went to Peterskirche and the Kunsthaus today.  The Kunsthaus was the best place in the world.  Best art museum I've been in so far....
Cezanne, van Gogh, Gogin, Klimt, Gericault, Monet, Manet, Degas, Picasso, Chagall, Courbet, Miro, Magritte, Warhol, Mondrian, Munch, Reubens, and a host of Swiss artists.  This museum was amazing.  Some of Monet and van Gogh's most famous works....all of which you can see on facebook.  Yeah, I was amazed I could take pictures of them.  These Swiss love their army, their cheese, and their chocolate.  All of which are great (don't really know about the army).

There isn't very much to do in Zurich unless you have a fortune to spend.  17,000 franc Rolexes...ridiculous.

Tomorrow we go to the Swiss National Museum and the Barengasse...hopefully they will provide the same excitement as the Kunsthaus did.  Next post....Paris.  Paris, France.  Awesome.

Oh yeah...I saw them filming for the new James Bond movie, Casino Royale, in Venice a few days ago.  Check out facebook for pics of the stars.

Thanks for reading!  :)
