Craig, Stacey and Mish at Atomium
We were out of bed at a reasonable hour and doing the tourist thing straight away.  The first thing we noticed was how COLD it was.  Admittedly, it was the middle of winter - but the cold somehow managed to penetrate all the layers of clothing we had on.  We each grabbed a roadside waffle for breakfast and wandered about, loosely following a tourist map.  Getting around on foot we managed to find the Grand Place and then the Manekin Pis - before embarking on the looooooooong walk to atomium.  When we got there we were a little disappointed to find it closed for maintenance (still impressive enough to look at though) and the nearby miniture world was shut too.  Booooooooo.  We consoled ourselves with a big feed of mussels and chips though and returned to our hotel to freshen up before heading out for a great meal and a very late, very funny night in the only bar in town that seemed to be happy to serve us drinks (without demanding we sit down for a meal).  After a couple of beers Jamie and Craig got over the fact that it was a GAY bar and we all had a great time.
