I studied at Jagiellonian University in Krakow for 18 months. I earned my MA in cultural studies (TransAtlantic Studies / Relations) from there - same university as Copernicus and John Paul II went to. :D

Aussies & another American

Kościół Mariacki

As I wasn't yet over my Jet Lag, I woke up at about 5:30am.  I listened to the various breathing patterns & snores of the other hostel guests & sort of drifted in & out of sleep for the next few hours, but by 7 or 7:30 I just had to get up.  I walked back to Rynek & found that there is a free wi-fi connection there, which, over the next week, became my connection to the rest of the world.

During the daylight hours, I pretty much just explored.  I bought a pay-as-you-go SIM card/service for my phone, and eventually ended up napping for a few hours.

I woke up at about 10pm & there was a group of Australians talking in the kitchen to an American from Oregon.  These five people pretty much became my "mates" for the whole weekend.  We went to a club right in Rynek & that's about that for Friday.
