Outbound Journey

We began our trip a little behind schedule and had to bump to the next connecting flight to SFO, but we had over 5 hours to burn anyway.  The flights were all on time and easy, although we only slept a few winks on the 9 hour flight to LHR.

The rental car is a bit large, we wanted a car but they gave us an SUV type vehicle.  We call it the Lorry.

After several wrong turns caused by me (the navigator) I noticed that my laptop was running low.  The power plug wasn't working, and my fancy GPS solution was about to go on the fritz.  Linda was having trouble with the left hand manual transmission and I couldn't help much with directions as my computer ran out of power.

In the nick of time I found a 2nd outlet in the back of the console and plugged in.  Power On!  I got us back on track and Linda is getting the hang of the traffic circles and gear shifts.  Time to hit the hay, I made it until 7pm which is pretty good for me.  Linda is already snoozing.

Cheers!
