Me saving Pat's life (he's in a dress) @ the Children's Museum

Today's ride was a nice one. A great little break from doing the Markleeville ride! We did an arrival at a Boy's And Girl's Club where we played with the kids, had lunch, did the Kids on the Block Puppet Show (a puppet show about people with disabilities), and a bike safety session. I played some wall ball, four square, two-hand-touch football, and 'hit the ball in the air as many times as you can'. It was a nice little break and a lot of fun. Before dinner, we played some knockout (that game with two basketballs); anyway, two guys tied!! I have never even heard of such a thing. They tied by each shooting a ball into the goal and both of them hitting at the precise time and precise spots for them to be stuck in the goal! It was incredible! For dinner, we were sponsored with some amazing BBQ! The caterer was on the Food Network and has won best BBQ Sauce (no worries, I got his card so I can place orders when I get back). I had a chat with the owner and he talked about making 50 different versions and that they came up with their recipe through trial & error, critique from friends, and just random errors that ended up making it award winning. After dinner, a bunch of us went out on a night in Carson City. It was a lot of fun and it was good to hang out with all of the guys before we split.

We also got our first day off! We did a lot of errands (laundry, Walmart, or Bike Shop runs). Then we had another KOB at the Children's Museum, which was really fun as always. After KOB, we had a Friendship Visit in Reno, NV. I was SO tired when I walked in that door, but when the music started playing and people started dancing, I got completely reenergized. We had so much fun dancing and goofing off with the clients. I don't think I've ever seen so many people dance like that without being under the influence. Byron was definitely the star of the FV because he’s such a great dancer! It was a great time! After the FV, we went to DJ's house in Reno (he's a North cyclists) and got a chance to relax and chill at the pool, use the computers (for email, facebook, myspace, etc...), volleyball, and tv. Just a nice few hours of hanging out with the guys.
