We found the hotel, not far from the beach and parked the rental car in the nearby parking garage. After checking in, we explored our hotel a little and then went for a walk to familiarize ourselves with our new surroundings.

It was now about 4:30pm (10:30pm Ohio time) and we were getting hungry. We walked along Kalakaua Ave and found a man persuading tourists to eat at his restaurant, the Atlantis Steak and Seafood. We took him up on his offer and went upstairs.

We sat near the open balcony and started a conversation with the couple next to us. They were there on their honeymoon too. They had just received their entrees and said the Mahi Mahi was very good. Emilia and I ordered the same. It was excellent, and a good price too.

We left the restaurant and made our way over to the beach as the sun was beginning to set. Of course neither one of us had brought a camera along. I did end up taking over 50 photos, with other people's cameras. I was the un-official sunset photographer on the beach for couples wanting a picture with the 2 of them in it. We met a nice girl from Vancouver who was attending the same conference as Emilia. We then headed back to the hotel to get some rest from all the traveling and excitement of the day.
