Found this side of the island to be much different then the West side. We discovered the blowhole, even watched people try to get very close to it. The blow hole won.
Continued North to Kaupo Beach where we found Manana Island. It is approximately 3/4 mile off of Kaupo Beach, just northwest of Makapuu Point on the island of Oahu. The islet is also known as Rabbit Island. Some people think it is because the island is shaped like a rabbit's head or body, but it is actually because rabbits were raised on the island until 1994. The rabbits were removed at that time because started destroying the native ecosystem of the island, which is an important seabird breeding area
We headed back to the hotel for the luau at the Royal Hawaiian that was for attendees of the Medical Conference. Very enjoyable as it showcased the history of Polynesian culture and dances.
