Off to an adventure

The day had finally arrived. After the cool trip in Lakshadweep the previous month I was really looking forward to seeing some of the fantastic sights of north India before I left for my next job. This was the day when I would again be alone and detached from my previous life as I know it, for an 18 day trip which was bound to be interesting and throw unseen challenges at me as well.
Packing was a bit of a hassle, especially with the terrible cough/cold and time too short. I just pretty much stuffed my bag somehow, sure I was going to miss out some things. The train for Agra was supposed to leave at 16:05 but arrived about 15 mins late and left at around 16:30. I took my dose of medicine and clambered up onto the top berth so that I could hopefully get some rest to aid my recovery. Slept fitfully and painfully through the cold night, but apart from that uneventful night.
