The Original Farmers Market at Third and Fairfax

Los Angeles Travel Blog › entry 24 of 32 › view all entries

LA is such a metropolis...there is so much I have not experienced yet...but just give me some time and I will! As for the food, from cheap eats and mom & pop joints to neighborhood eateries and fine dining...it all ends up in the same place...my tummy! So join me on my urban exploration and culinary journey through LALA-land.
Meeting at 3rd and Fairfax!
Los Angeles' Farmers Market, with the iconic Clock Tower as a landmark, has been and continues to be a meeting place for locals as well as an attraction for tourists.

Historically a place where farmers would sell fruits and vegetables from the back of their trucks, the Farmers Market at Third and Fairfax is still a fine place to find fresh meats, seafood, and produce, artisanal breads, decadent pastries, and homemade ice cream.

The Farmers Market is great place to enjoy a causal breakfast, lunch or dinner, to grab after work drinks, to people watch, to enjoy a cup of coffee, and to hang out.

During the summer months they have live music performances. In the fall and winter they also have festivities to commemorate the season or the holidays.

I especially enjoy going to the Farmers Market
because it is home to a world of cuisines. The global fare includes classic American, Cajun, Chinese, Mexican, Italian, French, Korean, Greek, Brazilian, Japanese, and much more!

The Farmers Market is just a great place to wander around and explore or just sit down and relax!

I went here last year after not visiting in ages. The surrounding area has changed quite a bit... but the market has remained somewhat the same.

I do enjoy the Fairfax Farmers Market! It has a good variety of shops/eateries. It always fun over there for food and free music. I had a great time hanging out with you, Tracy! =)
