Hey guys, One of the best times to visit Walt Disney World is in the winter. The weather is much cooler and all the parks are decorated for Christmas, it's a magical time!!!!
I went to Epcot yesterday, The World Showcase features countries from around the world and all where beautifuly decorated for the holidays. Countries featured are, Canada, United Kingdom, France, Morocco, Japan, America, Italy, Germany, Africa, China, Norway, and Mexico. Take the time to visit them all. Most have gift shops feartuing their own specialties from their country. A resturant and some type of ride or movie. Norway has Maelstrom, a viking boat ride. China has Circle-Vision 360 degree film. America has the American Adventure. Canada has O Canada Circle-Vision 360 degree film.
I have eaten in a few resturants in the World Showcase. I've tried Canada, Japan, China, and Mexico. My favorite so far is Japan, great sushi and fried vegtables...ummmm!! I ate in Mexico yesterday at the San Angel Inn Restaurante. I had tortilla chips covered in chesse, chicken, jalepenos, tomatoes, green onions, and sour cream...delicious!!! When you come in you walk thru a mayan temple into a mexican themed indoor market, resturant, and the Gran Fiesta Tour boat ride. You have blue skies above you and a erupting volcano in the background. You really feel like your in Ol' Mexico....ole' If you want to dine in a specific resturant, please make reservations as soon as you arrive. Some resturants fill up quick!!!!
I rode a few rides and the first stop was Test Track. Soarin' is a fav to but the line was way to long. It's the newest attraction at Epcot. The Seas with Nemo and Friends was good. Better for the kids. Spaceship Earth is closed for renovations.
At night Epcot comes alive with Illuminations: Reflections of Earth. Fireworks with lights and a musical score. Extra special this time of year with a Christmas tree and holiday music.
Disney does not leave any detail undone!! When you walk thru each country you feel like you are there.
