Welcome to HOLLYWOOD. This park is a lot of fun. A lot to do and see so start early. If you stay at any of the Disney hotels there are certain days they let hotel guest in an hour early into the park. Different days different parks. Check at your hotel.
Use the Fastpass!!! Let's start with a list of the most popular rides and attractions. TOWER OF TERROR, ROCK'N'ROLLER COASTER, GREAT MOVIE RIDE, BACKLOT TOUR, STAR TOURS, INDIANA JONES STUNT SPECTACULAR, LIGHTS MOTORS ACTION EXTREME STUNT SHOW. At the end of the day you have to see FANTASMIC! Get there a hour to and hour and a half before the show starts. The outside theater holds 3000, but for a great seat get there early.
Tower of Terror, a elevator ride to the twilight zone. Rock'n'Roller Coaster, speed launched rollercoaster featuring Aerosmith Rock Band. Great Movie Ride, take a tour back to your favorite movies, featuring the Wizard of Oz, Casablanca, Indiana Jones, John Wayne, Mobster Movies. Star Tours, take a ride with a animated robot into space with a few accidents along the way. Indiana Jones Stunt Show, right out of the movie with some awesome stunts...GREAT. Lights, Motors, Action Extreme Stunt Show, outstanding show using cars, motorcycles, and a jetski with a few suprises along the way.
My favorite resturant is Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater Cafe, You are in a drive n theater sitting in your car. Great burgers and a sci-fi movie too. A lot of fun.
This park is great for kids of all ages. The earlier you get here the better. Once it gets hot the animals donot move around very much. The Fastpass is a must for the following: KILIMANJARO SAFARIS, IT'S TOUGH TO BE A BUG, EXPEDITION EVEREST. My suggestion is get a Fastpass for Kilimanjaro Safaris and get in line a ride it. The time you wait in line and do the ride your time for the Fastpass will be ready and you can ride it again. Also do the same for Expedition Everest. Expedition Everest is a wild rollercoaster ride on Mount Everest with a Yeti inside the mountain. Very nice ride!! Under the Tree of Life is a 4D animated Bug show that will make you laugh and squirm in your seat. It's Tough To Be A Bug is a must see and Fastpass recommended. In Asia, see the Flights of Wonder a bird show and Maharajah Jungle Trek, see tigers, deer, fruit bats, tapirs, and komodo dragons. Visit Dinoland-USA and Rafiki's Planet Watch.
As always there are plenty of gift shops and resturants.
Check your park map for parade and show times. Ohhh, On the way into the park is a great resturant called Rainforest Cafe'. Awesome atmosphere and great food. Make reservations early!!
This park is for the teenage crowd and above. Here are a few of my favorites and donot forget to get your fastpass!! MISSION SPACE, a great ride that feels like your traveling in space. This ride spins so beware. SOARIN', You feel like you are flying!! Great ride. SPACESHIP EARTH, Travel through time. TEST TRACK, a car ride and at the end you reach the speed of 64mph.
World Showcase, Travel around the world. Mexico, China, Germany, Italy, America, Japan, Morocco, France, United Kingdom, Canada. All have some great food these are my favorites, Japan, China, Mexico, and Germany. When you arrive make reservations for dinning next to Space Ship Earth. Each country have gift shops so you can take a little of that country home with you.
If you have the time take the Segway Tour. You can book it online at www.segway.com/disney. You get instructions on how to ride it and time to ride around the World Showcase. Your guide will tell you about the World Showcase as you travel. At the end of the tour you get a pin to to remember your experience.
You can take a boat from Epcot to Disney MGM Studios. Along the way you will make stops at Yacht Club Resort, The Dolphin, The Swan, and Boardwak Inn. Or you can take the Monorail from Epcot to the Magic Kingdom.
IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth, breathtaking fireworks, colors, and lights set to a musical score. Well worth the wait. The best place to view is anywhere around the World Showcase. It takes place in the middle of the lagoon.
The start of the tour takes us to the Magic Kingdom. You park your car and take the tram to the front gates. You buy your ticket and either take the Monorail or Ferryboat to the Magic Kingdom. I suggest taking the Monorail in and the Ferryboat out. Your first thing you will see is Main Street USA. While walking down the street you'll see gift shops, resturants, and Cinderella's castle at the end of the street. Wait till the end of your day to visit Main Street. Donot forget to get your park map and execute your plan on what you want to see. The first thing you need to do is get to the most popular rides first. Space Mountain, Splash Mountain, Big Thunder Railroad, Jungle Cruise, and the Haunted Mansion just to name a few. The park is in a big circle so either go to your right or left.
Another secret......When you ride the monorail over to the Magic Kingdom, ask to sit in the front. It will hold four people plus the driver. You get a front view as you pass threw the Contemporary Resort and a great view of Space Mountain and Cinderella's Castle.
One of the best time to visit is between Thanksgiving and Christmas. It's cool and the crowds are small. The summertime is crowded and very HOT.
Get there early and stay until the close. There is alot more to do but this has just been the highlights. Use the Fastpass!!! It will save you time and disappointment.
I have not stayed at any of these. I took the time to visit and go inside and check them out. Contemporary Resort, Grand Floridian Resort and Spa, The Dolphin, The Swan, Wilderness Lodge, Polynesian Resort, Beach Club Resort, and Yacht Club Resort.
My favorite has to be the Grand Floridian Resort and Spa. Just simplyy beautiful in an elegant setting. Located on the Seven Seas Lagoon with views of the Magic Kingdom. Take the Monorail to the Magic Kingdom or to the Ticket and Transportation Center to catch a bus, boat, or monorail to anywhere in Walt Disney World.
The Polynesian Resort is set in a Hawiian theme. Absoultely beautiful and set on the Seven Seas Lagoon with views of the Magic Kingdom. A great place to eat is at 'Ohana's.
The Contemporary Resort, Your first view of this resort will be your ride on the monorail from the Ticket and Transportation Center to the Magic Kingdom. You will pass right through the Contemporary Resort just long enough to enjoy the beauty of this modern resort. Great food at the top at the California Grill featuring west coast american cuisine along with a spectacular view of the Magic Kingdom.
Wilderness Lodge, A awesome and grand resort from the Great American Northwest. Beautifuly decorated.
What a great place to have fun. If you enjoy Eating, Dancing, and having a few drinks, this place is for you.
Rainforest Cafe' - Set next to a volcano that erupts with live parrots outside and a rainforest theme inside. It's a great place for lunch and dinner. Reservations recommended. Such delights as Rasta Pasta, China Island Chicken and Paradise Pizza. Every so often the rainforest comes alive with gorillas, elephants, and parrots Disney style.
There are other shops and resturants you can eat at. I can not wait to see La Nouba, Cirque Du Soleil. Also the House of Blues, Disney Quest a indoor active theme park and AMC movie theaters.
Pleasure Island - $21 gets you on the island with no cover charge at any of the clubs.
