Rented a jeep for around $40, and toured the island on my own. There are several spots to snorkel at, all which are free if you have your own gear. There is one spot that you actually have to pay but that is because the spot is an actual park ~ I opted against that one in particular. The snorkel spots themselves are hit and miss in regards to reef's. Overall, a great way to see the island on your own time is to def. rent a jeep and see it at your leisure. There are a few spots to eat along the coast as well.
