sunny sunny Spain
December 4, 2007
After what seemed like an inordinately long train ride, especially after all the other nitty-gritty problems in the south of France, I finally arrived in Barcelona & made my way down to Sitges where my ex-flatmate Daisy is now living.
After many days of moving around and feeling not-so-impressed with the south of France, it was lovely to be in a nice apartment and relax and hang out. Sitges is a nice small city about an hour from Barcelona, right on the coast of Spain. Daisy lives one block from the beach, and after I finally got around to getting up and dressed and leaving the house, I spent the afternoon wandering along the beach.
Sun shining down, sand between my toes, Mediterranean waves breaking on the shore... it was soothing and relaxing and fabulous.
In the evening Daisy & I went out for some tapas and a quiet drink - the tapas was really good, and I've always thought it's such a good way of dining out, coz you get to taste all these different things. So it was a very nice evening.
