I'll be traveling solo around Western and Eastern Europe during the summer of 2006.

A fascination with death

I found that Vienna has a facination with death, and that the city has one of the highest suicide rates in the world.  That's difficult to understand, since the city is beautiful and prosperous, and the people don't seem very stressed out.  During my walks around town, I've passed the same cafes a few times, and see the same people sitting outside drinking coffee and people-watching.

Nothing much to report on the city--it's beautiful, but I'm not really getting the vibe that I was looking for.  It's drizzling, and the music events I wanted to see are closed.  I'll spend the remainder of my time watching the World Cup and going to museums.
