The weather is much better here in Burgundy, with temperatures around 20° C instead of the 15° C in London and Paris. This sunny weather makes me realize why this area is so good for wine, and why every free bit of land is covered with grape vines. Taking advantage of being in wine country, I went with my parents down to Pommard, known for its high quality pinot noir wine, and did a tour and tasting at Chateau de Pommard. A nice lady named Marie-France led us around, and walked us through the tasting. We tasted several of the Chateau's wines, with such years as 2003, 2002, 2000, 1997 and 1993. I liked the '93, and ended up buying a bottle for 45€. I'll drink it next weekend to celebrate finishing my CFA test.
In case any of you are wondering where all the juicy clubbing stories and pictures are, you'll have to wait a week or so--not only am I currently traveling with family, but I'm also using all my free time to study for this huge test on June 3rd. Once that's out of the way I can relax, and my vacation will really start--I can barely wait.
