We found a beach, but it was small and crowded, so we decided to chill on a pier that was just down the shoreline a bit. We sunned, swam to a nearby island, and had a relaxing day of it. Just as I was getting out of the water, I stepped down hard on another sea urchin (I know, I know, but Croatia has a ton of them in the water), and I had a painful reminder of a pleasurable day. We packed up our stuff and went to catch a bus back to town, with me limping in the rear of the procession.
Back in Korčula town, I got a little TLC on my foot from a few of the girls, who I think secretly enjoyed watching me wince everytime they jabbed a needle into my foot in an attempt to remove one of the 30-odd needles that were stuck in me.
Afterward we had a nice dinner, shared some wine, and headed back to the hostel for some more craziness. The party was on again, and a few drinks later two of the English girls, living up to the party reputation of rugby players, were downing beer bongs at the bar. I had to get up at 5:30 again for my catamaran trip, so I called it a night at 4 AM. I think when I get back to the U.S. I'm going to need a vacation from my vacation.
