After reading Led by Destiny and talking with friends about the experiences they've had I decided to give hitch hiking a go, and I had such an incredibly awesome time!

It didn't take me too long to get to Gent, my new Romanian friends left me just at the tram stop and I walked into the centre of Gent to meet up with Bas. Quite clearly Bas is one of the coolest Belgians around, a great friend I've had the pleasure of meeting through Hospitality Club.
He took me to a park where we sat and talked about anything and everything and as the sun was going down we spotted a juggler. Steve Irwin style we snuck up on him, crikey, he's a beauty! Well he had some pretty neat tricks that I can't do, so much to learn... After juggling for a while and playing with poi a man came over and pushed his son towards me urging him to learn what I was doing. I had a crack at teaching him, but we weren't making great progress so he wanted to play with something else. It turns out they were Polish, living in Gent, hanging out in the park just like us.

Haven't heard from you in a while! Glad to see you're still alive and kicking (hitching?) =)
