I spent a couple weeks in Spain, France and Italy, traveling around the Mediterranean coast on Royal Caribbean's Voyager of the Seas.

Shipbuilding below the Milky Mountains

Castellammare di Stabia is famous for its shipbuilding and is named after the private castle (pictured) and the ruins of the town of Stabia -- similar to Pompei only a tiny village.

The mountains along the coast near Castellammare and down the Sorrento peninsula are known as the "milky mountains" because they produce great mozzarella cheese.

Hi!
I'm so glad to see what you've wrote about! C.mare was the holidays destination of the ancient Romans! A small town where senators and "vip" of Rome and its surroundings were to spend the holidays! On the Varano hill are the ruins of two villas. I believe that the waters (24 different sources) flowing in the spa were knew about them too. I do not want to make mistakes but I think there was also a school of gladiators around ....
