skaftafell was just awesome… The ice, blue sky (almost) and only the top of
some mountains in clouds (which was beautiful). The visitor centre has an
electrical sign saying 20.5°c! We haven’t had any rain yet and I don’t think we
will have any until at least tomorrow. I just Read in the info brochure that we

Now in vogar near the Myvatn lake… very fairy and magical. Monday was a long busride from Hofn to Egillstadir. Before that we were in the magical, ice blue lagoon Jokulsarlon. Seals, birds that come at you … wild camping… from there onto Höfn, loud camping, warmest night though!
Egillstadir to Vogar.
Yesterday we rent bikes and saw the whole lake like that. So windy and cold! No rain yet though! The foresty Höfdi bit was so fairy and magical as well!
This morning we woke up with the sun, and it’s such a contrast with yesterday. So warm! Nice, no wind!!! Woohoo! Up to krafla now!
Myvatn and surroundings.
We decided to not go to dettifoss an asbyrgi but do a walk to krafla instead and what a walk it was! About 32km. We only left at 12, and also got back about that time. Tired legs, painful feet with blisters, a painful arm, a winging mieke… but the views were awesome! We could even see the vatnajokull glacier. Krafla is noisy!
