Iceland!!!

We had an incredible flight into Keflavik, the view was incredible. The sky was clear and we could really the glaciers and the south-west peninsula in incredible detail, it was just like the maps we had been studying for so long. We were amazed to see the firey sky as we stepped off the plane and it was so late. We asked the bus driver as we arrived in Reykjavik if it would get any darker than it was, his response 'not at this time of year, this is as dark as it gets'. We were delivered directly to the youth hostel campsite where we set up for the night, then in the morning we were out exploring the peaceful capital city then off on our tour of Iceland.
