The local baker in Reutlingen (Berger) gave us a tour and let us make our own pretzels.
I can't really write about each individual experience since it was too long ago (horrible memory) for me to remember everything, I only have hundreds of little memories and a general impression of it all. So basically we landed in Frankfurt
and one of my first impressions was the smoke in the air all over the airport which was new but it was when we were on the train going through the country side on our way to Stuttgart
that I really noticed the difference. Everything was so green, I'm from California where the hills are yellowish gold most of the year so while you may not think it's that big of a deal I hadn't really seen anything like it (it was my first trip outisde the states) and it was impressive. Walking through the towns you felt like you were in the middle of a fairytale and that Hansel and Gretel were gonna come running around the corner any second. The people were friendly, the cities and towns were clean and while I was studying German at the time my German was horrible and the people put up with it well. None of the pics are mine they were taken by a friend on the trip.
