Rainy season = GREEN!

this is the first time i've been in p.r. during the 'rainy season' and it's SO GREEN! the hills that are usually a dark burnt brown are a beautiful vibrant color and everything just seems overflowing with life. even the birds seem to be out in full strength.
yesterday i could see the magnificent frigatebirds (that's their real name!) from our veranda soaring overhead....amazing.
oh! and i finally went diving off desecheo the other day; two dives at two different reefs around the island. i saw a few green sea turtles as well as an octopus and a porcupine puffer--highlights of the dives. i can't wait to do it again.
man, i love this place. it's like our own slice of paradise. :)
