All trips eventually lead to Delaware
In the same vein of ....."all roads lead to Rome"...... we set off from Phoenix this morning for our 5+ hour flight to Philadelphia and our eventual destination of Wilmington, Delaware, where we would be staying with our good friends Michael and Stephanie VonBank and their nearly two year old twins, Ivo and Ada. If you visit the TravBuddy blog by "olsalty" you will meet the Family VonBank (no they don't sing....). Scotty (olsalty) also begins his transatlantic trips from Delaware, in part, to visit his godchildren as well as do any odd jobs around the house such as painting, construction or yardwork.
We picked up a rental car at Philly airport and plugged in the old GPS to get us from point A to point B. We were anticipating a fairly short visit as we were only going to be there for one night. Steph's best friend, Chrissy, was also there visiting from England, without her mum this time. We ended our evening over a smoked salmon and salad platter while exchanging stories and various rowdy toasts over countless glasses of wine and spirits. With our departure tomorrow, we were anticipating even better things to come.........
