Getting instructions from the local workers
We were picked up outside our host family's house by Emil in his van around 8 in the morning, and got to our main worksite. Before we got there, they had started preparing the worksite, and in the backgound was the current house of the family we now were building a house for. One could definately see that they needed a new house. It was three generations living in that building one can nearly call a house. An elderly mother and father, with their daughter and her about 2 or 3 year old daughter. And a puppy which was the cutest puppy ever, and was for sure the highlight of our breaks. To get a House from Habitat for Humanity, the family must take part in the building, so the father was always working with us, and you could see how happy he was that we were there.

But before we could start any work, a religious rituale was required. And it was not enough with 1 priest, they were 3 orthodox priests there (although one of them came a bit late ;p) to bless the house and cover it with holy water, and a lot of prayers had to be held. Then the owner to be of the house layed down the first stone and he was blessed.

Then we started working! We started by making the foundation, and we mixed the cement manually, adding water and sand/stones. Then we put the cement in wheelbarrows and laid the foundation. After a few rounds of managing a wheelbarrow, I changed job and was now managing the water supply, which included me getting pretty soaked at the end of the day!! We had lunch at the same restaurant we had dinner the day before, and that turned out to be the place we had dinner and lunch every day, except one. We worked really hard that day, despite that it was raining half of the day.. :p When we finished at 4 in the afternoon we were all pretty tired, so must of us took a power nap after getting beck to our host families, before we met again for dinner, and later checked out the handful of bars in Beius. They had really cheap beer :D
