just arrived to Philly
Philly is a really nice city, big, well organized, with beautiful parks and nice buildings. I arrived on Sunday and it was quiet…
Finally I arrived to Philadelphia Intl Airport and my friend picked me up. It was Sunday, around 2pm. Chris, my friend, lives in PA near Philly, approx 2-3 hours away. Because we already were in the city, decided to go the Museums.
We drive through the city and looked for a parking space.
I was thinking about walking around, but Chris recommended me to visit first the museums, because they would close in a couple of hours. Chris likes art a lot and was the perfect guide. First, we visited the Rodin’s Museum. It was free entrance.
The famous stairs...
We just had to cross the avenue and we arrived to Philadelphia Art Museum. First thing I noticed was a Rocky Statue, hahaha. It made me laughed. Why did someone decided to have a Statue from Rocky? Hahaha. Then I saw the famous stairs. I wished I was wearing tennis, so it would have been possible to run. :( I was wearing sandals, so I had to climb them but just walking. Anyway, I did it ;) Because it was Sunday, the entrance was free. Same as mine, one of Chris’ favorite artists is Van Gogh, so we went straight to the Impressionist Area ;) Wow, the collection here is really good.
We left the museum around 6pm, when they were closing.
Just walked around the square and the beautiful park. It was getting a bit late and I just realized I haven’t had lunch. So, it was time to try something from Philly. Chris suggested having a Cheese Steak. I usually don’t eat big sandwiches. Not a big fan of them, but I was in Philly and had to try it! But he didn’t want me to try any Cheese Steak. He called a friend and asked for the directions in order to go to Gino’s. One of the best Cheese Steaks in town is supposed to be there. As we arrived, I saw a long line and all the tables were full :) good sign! Chris taught me how to order, I had the whiz without - it meant with cheese whiz and without onions, hahaha. You have to do it fast, because there are always a lot of people waiting for their turn.
with Rocky :)
In our way back home we met Chris’ friends and went to a pub. We played pool and had a couple of beers. He had already told them about the Peruanita, and they were waiting for me :)
We arrived home around 10pm. It was a pretty long day and despite I was tired, we stayed awake for a while just talking, hahaha.

I don't remember many things about this airport. When I was there, it'd be the 1st time I'd meet a TB - actually before TB area, but we were like TB's… read entire review
