Well, it was supposed to be my last day in NYC and I was feeling sad about it. But I decided to stay until the next day. Well it depended on: finding a place to stay and talking to my friend. I talked to the guy in the hostel and he wasn't 100% sure, if I would be able to stay in the same room or if I had to move. It didn't matter to me. I was lucky and there was space for me. :)
The night before I agreed with Matt and Andre to go out together early in the morning. We met at the lobby and left the hostel in order to go to
I wanted to visit the Guggenheim museum. I have always been attracted not only to the art inside it, but also to its architecture. But I wasn’t lucky. They were doing the maintenance work and it wasn’t 100% open. You could visit it, but just the 20% was open, which also meant they didn’t charge you the regular fee.
After the visit, we just kept on walking through
We just went back to the hostel in order to meet with Andre and figure it out what to do later, but we couldn’t find him. We waited for a while, but he didn’t show up, so we decided to keep on enjoying NYC. We took the metro back and I wanted to see that famous building I always see in the tv shows and movies. The one located in the corner and we found it! Then we went to Bloomingale’s, just to take a look. No one of us was thinking about doing shopping, hahaha. Well, it was time to become children again. We visited the F.A.O. Schwarz Toy Store.
Then we just went to Hell’s Kitchen area to visit a Flea Market. You could find almost anything there, like antiques, crafts and fashion. It was fun to visit a different part of the big apple :)
By the time we were done, it was getting dark, so we went back to the hostel. Mark had to leave and I had to check which will be my new room. I was moved to another floor, nothing big, and shared the room with a large group of people.
I just took a shower and went downstairs. I met Kuon and we went out, bought some beer and decided to hang out with the people of the hostel. We had a blast and it was nice staying quiet at the hostel.
