Someone forgot to turn on the heat!
So ends my adventure. I'm finally home. Let me bring you up to speed. I got into Chicago 45 minutes early. It was really foggy out, we didn't know we were close to the ground til we hit it. Had what was supposed to be a 5 hour layover, but getting in early and all the delays due to the fog, turned it into about 8 hours. Our group from Monrovia was down to 2 now, myself and a guy named Victor. We walked around waiting for our gates to be assigned. By this time, I was so tired. I had been traveling for 31 hours with only small small naps on the plane. (On my flight from Brussels, I fell asleep without realizing it and my poor seatmate had to crawl over me and I didn't even wake up!) After changing gates about 4 times, I finally got on the plane that would take me home.
My grandpa picked me up from the airport. I got home at around midnight, 48 hours has past since I last slept. It was really good sleeping in my own bed. Woke up this morning with 3 inches of snow on my car and the temperature outside a balmy 22 degrees. I miss Africa. Thanks for reading.
