Wow, it was a shock for 12 of us getting off the plane in Brussels, we weren't prepared for the blast of cold air that hit us. Or the fact that it was still dark at 8am. We said goodbye to 1/2 our group who were staying in Brussels. The rest of us waundered the airport. We got in about 0530 and I spent $12 on breakfast, which was a muffin, fresh fruit and a bottle of water. Did some window shopping, nothing was open yet. Then spent the rest of the time looking for a quiet corner to sleep and an outlet to charge my ipod. Both were almost impossible to find. We had 5 hours to kill in the airport and when it was getting close to board for chicago, they still didn't post our gate assignment. We walked up and down the terminal looking for our gate. Finally found it, only to find out that we had the wrong boarding pass. In Monrovia, they gave us all Brussel Air passes and we had to get American Airline tickets. So while they were calling for final boarding, we were still going through security- we had to tell them about what was in our bags for them to put them on the plane. Needless to say, we made it.
