I decided i wanted to do something fun for my 18th birthday so i booked a trip to go see a friend who lives in Vancouver, WA. Emmy had studied at my school for a year under an international programme and we became good friends. So here it was my first trip to the United States, i was incredibly excited but also very nervous as i had never been so far on my own but im glad i chose to go. Im going back in March :)

Vancouver, WA!

In 2006 Emmy came to Dover, UK to study for a year at my school, she was in my class and became good friends. This was my first trip to go see her in her hometown of Vancouver, WA.

on May 25th the day i graduated school ( i actually missed graduation doh!) i flew direct from London Heathrow to Seattle. Id been excited since i booked the trip in January! After a 9 1/2 hour flight i arrived in Sea - Tac exhausted but excited. Cue a 3 hour drive south through Washington State stopping off on the way at Dairy Queen (so good!!) before arriving at my friends house in Vancouver, just north of the border of Washington and Oregon. I spent the next 10 days having a blast! going the movies, going dancing, barbecues! I had such an amazing time! I spent a bit of time in Portland shopping with my friend. We went to a gay club for young people in Portland for my birthday and i learnt podium dancing is definetely a lot of fun!! :o I have so many happy memories of the trip, its only 6 months until i go back and i cant wait !!

I've seen those British Airways flights from LHR pull in at Sea-tac. Right now Lufthansa is the only airline serving Europe from the Portland airport. They are soon to add service from Frankfurt to Seattle though.
