We are tourists today! We visited the tallest CN Tower in downtown Toronto, at 1815 feet, more than 100 stories tall. We get a good view of Toronto and beyong, beause it was a real clear day! We also looked down at the City Center airport island, where we couldn't land the other night. Kevin thought it looked really neat and we think we will do a landing and take off there tomorrow!
Then we walked around town, walked by the city hall, both old and new, had lunch at Tim Horton's (a local donut and coffee chain), where I had a warm smoothie (which I just had to try, it was good, a bit sweet maybe).
At the entrance of the Eaton's Center, there was a mime doing imitations of Elvis, wearing silver clothing and face paint. He was pretty good, and I took some photos which I will upload later.
David and Amy then drove us through some parts of Toronto, old Chinatown, garment district, near the University of Toronto, a castle called Casa Loma and old money residential districts. The drive back to the east side of Toronto again had some heavy traffic (on a Friday afternoon, before the Canadian Thanksgiving weekend!) and we had dinner at Al Dente's, an Italian restaurant, the food was very good, and they had a musician playing guitar there and singing, very good ambiance and company.
