Entrance of the National Music Museum
The whole reason why we picked Vermillion to stop was to visit the National Music Museum, on the University of South Dakota campus. So after the breakfast at our Buffalo Run Resort at Valiant Winery where we stayed overnight, we headed to the museum, only a few minutes away.

It was free to the public, but we paid the suggested donation at the door and had a quick tour around. A school group happens to be having a tour, and we got to hear some of the musical instruments being played by the kids, so that was fun. They had a huge selection of all sorts of musical instruments from all over the world, from B B King's guitar to the "Harrison" violin made by Stradivarious. Edison's phonograph to a zitar made to look like an aligator. Some instruments were artworks in their own right without even being played, but the museum has more than just art pieces. One can spend several hours here easily, unless you are a scholar, then you can spend days or months. But we only had about an hour since we had to fly all to way to Toronto today.
