almost the end....

Throughout my journey (if you read this blog), I wrote about some angels appearing in my life - in the forms of people named Chloe, Matt, Yaow, Mike, Steve, Melanie, Wenche, Kamilla, Pier, Rita, Jason, Hanna, Deb, Lozang Zopa, Kiet, Dominique, Rubina, Pradip, Rajeev, Madan, Beerman, the Turkish-light-salesman-guy, Daniela, Thomas, Melissa, Carson, Dounia, Lara, Kate, Jacquie, Kristin, Guy, Fekadu, Mieraf, Tuti, Mohammed, Babu, Gabriel, Ellie, the Dalai Lama, Sarah, Bailey, Kwan and many many more (sorry if i missed you here - I'll add you in a minute).  But, I never mentioned too deeply what they mean to me, or that they sometimes reappeared - in a different city or even a different country. 

You see...... for me its NOT, "where you go," but, "who you're with" that makes an experience.   And, I got to share my last days with Dounia (who I met in Laos in January) and then Mike & Steve - great friends that I had originally met in north Thailand back in January.  It was Sonkran - the Thai New Years on April 13th.  So, my trip ended with the perfect mixture of intense retrospection and raging alcohol-induced waterfights.

Looking back at the past 206 days on the road, I know that I have become a much wiser human.  There have been so many deep and intense experiences that have given me priceless wisdom about:

Change.
Compassion.
Confidance.
Belief.
Trust.
Culture.

This wisdom will stay with me for ever.  I now use it as a platform in all aspects of my life.  Ask and I will tell.....
