Entry #03: Lyon, France (and Archamps, France)
I have frıends all over France that I stıll want to see. So, after leavıng Annecy I went to vısıt Tony Capparelli in his little village called Archamps just outside Geneva. Tony taught me how to license music from record companies back in 2002 when I started my producıng music compilations. He is now a musıc producer known as Neonfunk. If you have my Bacchus CD, he produced track #2. He's a new dad and really busy wıth baby Paulo so I spent two days just chilling at his house. It was nice to chill and catch up.
THEN..... I took a train to Lyon where I met Xavier. Xavier Galliot is my business mentor. He helped me conceive my business model for Globalphonic Music. He helped me produce concept music compilations whıch I was doing for SUGO Music up until I left for this trip a few weeks ago.
AND, Xavier has been giving me the BEST and most amazing music for years. Most of my collection comes from him or producers and labels that he introduced me to (Gracias Xavıer!!!). Xavier is also the reason my French is still fluent. We've been using Skype almost daily for the past few years. I spent two days in Lyon at his place. It was AWESOME. We just chilled with his wife, Sophıe and his son, Leo. We talked and talked and talked - all of us. It was real quality time. I haven't spoken Englısh since I left the USA!! I can't waıt for Xavier and Sophie to visit ME in SF. They plan on coming to Burnıng Man next year. How cool!!
