It was very symbolic for me to start this whole pilgrimage alone in Geneva, Switzerland - the magnificently beautiful and mountainous state known for being neutral and strongly independent. To be honest, it was actually very difficult for me to leave and take this journey right now. But, arriving here - to this city on Lac Lemon, in the Alpes - just a short drive from where I used to live in France has finally made me feel a bit excited. My trip will be much more than just a fun adventure - it will most certainly be a pilgrimage to better understand who I am. Arriving in Geneva alone and visiting friends in Annecy turned into the most perfect way to begin my journey! Take a look at my photos from Annecy in the next entry......
