So we woke up after a heavy night at 11am, thats early for me you know considering we only got back in about 2 hours earlier. We wanted to fit alot in today so we packed a day bag and jumped on our rented 4x4, two in the front (me driving) 2 on the back (open air).
About 20 mins north of our accomodation is a elephant trekking site, so we decided it was all something we wanted to do and headed on our way. We soon left the shops and stalls and were enclosed by rain forest and tall mountains with their peaks in the clouds.
When we arrived it was a shock too see people so close with the elephants, although i did feel that the way i think the locals treat them when no westerners are around is not on, one elephant was chained to a post, the chain being only 1 metre long! This upsetted me as i feel these type of animals need huge spaces to roam and be free.
The surroundings were amazing, tropical rain forest and huge mountains, quite different from anything i have ever seen! We also saw a small baby something or other, not sure what the animal was, but wil upload the pictures tomorrow so maybe one of you guys can id it for me, it was well cute though :)
Anyway im off to pack up my bag as we leave early tomorrow morning for the trip back up to bangkok, will no doubt have little or no sleep again as its the Black Moon party tonight and its suppose to be pretty rocking, so another night dancing and drinking buckets of alcohol, yes they actually are buckets, they give u a bucket about 5 straws and a hole bottle of spirits, crazy!
Will deffo get pics up tomorrow...
Oh and thanks for all the emails and texts i have recieved since i have been away :)
