Firstly sorry i havent kept this updated its just i havent properly been on a computer untill now!
Well after a long 10 hour bus journey which left Bangkok at 6pm we arrived at Chumphon, a city in the near the south of Thailand... We arrived at about 3 in the morning and our boat to Ko Tao was picking us up at 6, so we had a bit of waiting around to do.. It was a bit of a bitch as i was feeling very rough and jet lagged too!
Craig and i decided to go for a wonder around the empty city when we arrived, rows upon rows of dead streets with very little light, and surprise surprise we got lost... We walked around for about an hour trying to find our way back to the pick up point asking the late night workers where we were with little avail as they spoke no english.
6 am finally came and we all got on a coach which took us to the pier.. From there we jumped on a boat and tryed to sleep. It didnt last long as the views were amazing, lush green islands dotted randomly miles out from land. I put my iPod in and listend to trance as i scanned the beautiful horizon... Warm air, beautiful sea and gorgeous islands, incredible experience.
We arrived on Koh Tao 3 hours later and i felt crap! sea sick i guess. At the pier we jumped on the back of a 4x4, 7 of us in total with our backpacks on top of us and drove over very bumpy roads to where we chose to stay, beach shacks right next to the sea.
A few things about this island... its amazingly beautiful, lovely beach's, friendly locals, palm and coconut trees everywhere! Although it has been mostly overcast since i arrived in Thailand it is incredible warm and we have had the odd downpoor, but even when it rains it just shines a new type of beauty on the island. Oh and the island is only 24km sqaured so its rather small...
Anyway will try and slog some pics up.. Unfotunatly i have lost my memory card with my pics from Bangkok but will get some when i am up there again next week.
Lots of love to all friends and family back home
p.s dont hire mopeds or ATV's, dangerous. Both me and craig have had crashes, craig just badly brused his leg, i grazed my arm and leg, bloody dog ran out in front of me!
