sweden, you're driving me wild and makes me act like a child.
October 21, 2007
our first stop in our roadtrip before ale stenar in kåseberga was the town of smygehuk, the most southern point of sweden. before reaching it, we were lost 2x hahaha, but i enjoyed the scenery so much, it was beautiful here in skåne län, i also saw lots of wildlife, mostly deers.
when we arrived at smygehuk, such a beautiful name for a small town. it sounded really like the ends of the earth. we had a cigarette break, we didnt went to the harbor but through a small private road, mikael parked the car in a small parking space, and there were lots of private houses there and just a few meters is the baltic sea.
then i gasped because mikael just went through someone's backyard! hahaha and walked through a small path.
i followed him and i was amazed, the sea was kissing sweden, it was so cold and windy, clouds dominated the sky but i didnt mind.
and the sea, oh the sea, so cold and grey yet it felt so warm and inviting.
its been a long time since i was on the sea, it was last year in the mediterenean, but this kind of mood, it is very enigmatic for me. for sure it is not to swim, as i will get hyphotermia. but it is very poetic, and isolated rather than the loud and noisy beaches of the mediterenean. it gives a special feeling to me, and no i am poetic, its just that, i had so many pains in my life that the sea with it's roaring waves and strong winds console me, inviting me to run and soak in the dreariness and melacholic state of emotion, to run wild barefooted and to be free.
i told mikael that i wanted to be alone for the moment, and he respected that, he wasnt wearing thick clothes and the blast of the wind chilled him, but he understood me, he went away, but still looking after me, because im sure he was thinking of me doing some stupid stuff.
i went down to the cold and lonely beach, stood on the rocks and closed my eyes, felt the wind, i wasnt also wearing thick clothes, but i didn't cared, this was the moment that i had waited all my life... something that would change me, entirely.
when i came back to my senses, eventhough it was close to freezing, i buried my hands in the sand. it felt warm.. it felt home.
