Exploring the jungle

After Kuala Lumpur, we decided to head into the rainforest of Teman Negara. We caught a couple of buses before getting on a boat to take us there. The boat was nothing like I was expecting....it was a wooden longboat with mats on the floor and a very flimsy roof. The journey was amazing past all the rainforest and it was also very relaxing. It did rain quite heavily at one point but a plastic poncho and umbrella saved us! The whole journey by boat was so surreal, like something you see on the holiday progammes on tv. For food we went to a floating restaurant, with an amazing view.

The next day he headed out into the jungle, deciding to do a 'short' walk before heading to the canopy walk. The walk was pretty much all uphill, but worth it when we got there, the views over the rainforest were brilliant. We also got to see loads of wildlife such as wild boars, squirrels, termites and a snake! The canopy walk was also a superb thing to do as you are up at the top of the trees walking on ladders with wood on top and bits of rope holding it together. Russell was petrified but still managed to do it, which I was very impressed with. Although once he was up there he didnt really have much choice!

The whole jungle experience was something so different, Im really glad we went there :)
